ANNOUNCING: The Nina Simone Experience (ATLANTA, GA April 16th - 25th) Spread the word..Please Forward!!


This project is comprised of live theater, the visual fine art exhibition, fashion, theater, dance, literary performance art, and of course the music -- all designed to provide an emersion into the life, history and experience of Dr. Nina Simone. The talents of gifted visual and performing artists from across the country are key components of this project. The daughter of Dr. Nina Simone, singer and jazz artist Simone, will be performing as a part of the program events.


The fine art exhibition and program events will take place April 16 – 25, 2010, Space Atlanta: a new special events center, www.spaceatlanta.weebly.com, 1310 White Street, Atlanta, Georgia. The Opening Gala, including a collectors’ preview, will be held on the evening of April 16th. Tickets are $75 per person, $100 for those attending the collectors’ preview and are available for purchase now. Twinspirit says “We decided to create a space that finally allows performers to refocus their energy on their craft and put the "Art" back in Artist. A space that allows the listening audience to connect with the Artist & the music on deeper level. An intimate, cozy, comfortable space where creative energy is not only allowed but encouraged to FLOW........”

After 9 months of intense Soul, the birth of 10 rising stars of French Soul scene, will take place this time, and for the first time, on scene Trabendo! This year, the density of talent highlighted by the Sankofa Soul Contest is highly remarkable. Our 10 finalists will give the best of themselves with the excellence that gives rise to the final Sankofa Soul Contest, in the presence of our sponsors, Geno Young (Musical Director Erykah Badu from 1999 to 2004), Helen of LeNubians, Stefan Filey (a reference to the Soul Française) and Matthew Edouard (Star Academy 2008) to be present also, to give heart and voice.
